10 Day Trip Through Morocco

Like many of its North African neighbors, the cultural backbone of Morocco has been built upon thousands and thousands of years of shifting religions and dynastic rulers: from the Arabs migrating West in the 8th century to the Almoravid and Marinid dynasties ruling over southern Spain until 1492 to the French occupation in the early to mid 20th century. The result? The unique and stunning blend of European and Middle Eastern architecture, art, and food that established cities like Marrakech, Fez, and Casablanca as cultural capitals that continue to straddle between the ancient and present while forging a path into the future.

From the secret Tangier hideaway of the Rolling Stones to the ancient sites of Fez to the fast-paced metropolis of Marrakech to Yves Saint Laurent’s Jardin Majorelle and Berber villages perched high in the Atlas Mountains, we’ll explore all of the exquisite traditional and contemporary crafts, and cuisine the Kingdom of Morocco has to offer. We’ll shop in the tanneries, watch artisans create their hand-crafts, sample traditional street food, learn to cook tagines with local chefs, and finally, dine under the stars in the Agafay Desert.
